Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated English Graduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils across secondary schools in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, develop your professional skills, and make a meaningful difference in students  educational journeys.

• Provide tailored support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Help students develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication skills
• Support learners with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH
• Assist with targeted interventions designed to improve attainment and engagement
• Build positive, trusting relationships that promote wellbeing and academic success
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Holders of a degree in English or a related subject

• Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills
• Patient, compassionate, and proactive in their approach

• Experienced in working with young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
