Role OverviewAs a Military Training Instructor at LCG you will deliver outstanding teaching throughout the L2 qualification for our learners within the centre. Your lessons will be detailed, well‑planned and engaging, motivating learners to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities- Keep subject knowledge current to ensure lessons are challenging.
- Maintain industrial knowledge via annual training events.
- Use assessment to inform learners and support improvement.
- Deliver lessons that support physical and emotional well‑being.
- Ensure resources reflect learner diversity and broader community understanding.
- Identify and support learners who fall behind.
- Set challenging individual targets.
- Support Maths/English development.
- Track work experience via the FCA in England.
- Assist with learner induction and maintain the MIS.
- Carry out progress reviews and deliver physical training using the bib system.
- Plan and deliver Military Training Days following the skills portfolio scheme.
- Gather learner and parent feedback to enhance teaching.
- Attend regular training on teaching and learning.
- Provide support, advice and guidance to learners, customers and colleagues.
- Operate according to company values and behaviours.
- Promote equal opportunities and diversity.
- Adhere to Safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety policies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a uniformed service (army, navy, air force).
- Physical training qualification (military or civilian).
- GCSE Maths and English (essential).
- Knowledge of vocational qualifications or education sector.
- Teaching qualification or experience of instructing.
- Experience working with young people.
- 36‑hour week – 15:30 finish on Friday.
- 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
