PK Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Newcastle to recruit an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys creating engaging learning experiences that help young children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.

About the Role
  • Supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Assisting with the delivery of creative, play-based learning activities.
  • Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can learn and develop.
  • Encouraging children's social, emotional, and communication skills through positive interactions and play.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team to support individual learning and development needs.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with children within an EYFS setting.
  • Understands the importance of learning through play and child-led exploration.
  • Brings energy, positivity, and enthusiasm to the classroom every day.
  • Enjoys being actively involved in activities, whether that's storytelling, role play, outdoor learning, arts and crafts, or messy play.
  • Can build strong relationships with children and encourage participation through fun and engaging interactions.
  • Is comfortable supporting children's personal care needs, including nappy changing and toileting assistance where required.
  • Has a nurturing and patient approach, helping children feel secure and supported as they learn.
  • Works well as part of a team and is committed to providing the best possible start to a child's education.
