We are working with a welcoming secondary school in the Newcastle area that is seeking to appoint an experienced Support Assistant (SEND). The school is looking to appoint a full-time Support Assistant (SEND) from September on a long-term basis. The successful Support Assistant (SEND) will work closely with students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, providing both classroom and one-to-one support to promote engagement, independence, and academic progress.

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND within an educational setting
• Experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• A commitment to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential
