Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Central Walker Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join their school, supporting pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2.

At Central Walker C of E Primary School, our dedicated and caring staff work hard to achieve high standards by providing a nurturing environment where all children can flourish. We are committed to developing positive relationships between children, staff, parents and the wider community.

This is a permanent post, term time only with 5 training days, and involves working 34.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • The ability to effectively supervise and educate whole classes across Key Stages 1 and 2 during the short term absence of the teachers.
  • An understanding of how young people learn, including a an awareness of the National Curriculum, effective teaching principles, and assessment strategies.
  • The ability to deliver pre-planned lessons clearly and enthusiastically, ensuring pupils understand the tasks set.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • An ability to work well as part of a team, committed to the wellbeing and care of all children.
Working Hours
  • Monday 8.30am – 3.30pm
  • Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm
  • Wednesday 8.30am – 3.45pm
  • Friday 8.30am – 3.15pm
