Behaviour Mentor Balham September Ribbons & Reeves are recruiting a Behaviour Mentor for a contract role in Balham, supporting a successful and inclusive secondary school for pupils aged 11-19 with a strong reputation for academic achievement, creativity and developing confident young people. The school has approximately 1,320 pupils on roll, including around 20% of pupils receiving SEN support and 5.7% with EHCPs, creating a diverse and supportive learning environment.

Contract Behaviour Mentor position starting in September, offering £110 - £120 per day depending on experience. Excellent opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive pastoral team and gain valuable experience within a high-performing secondary setting. The successful Behaviour Mentor will benefit from working alongside experienced staff, receiving guidance and developing skills in behaviour support, safeguarding and student wellbeing.

This Behaviour Mentor role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with their emotional, social and behavioural development. Based in Balham, the school has a strong academic profile, with GCSE performance including an Attainment 8 score of 55.1 and 63.5% of pupils achieving Grade 5 in English and Maths. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support pupils who require additional guidance, helping to improve engagement, confidence and positive behaviour across the school.

The ideal Behaviour Mentor candidate will have experience working with young people, strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families. Previous experience in a pastoral, youth work, education or behaviour-focused role is desirable, alongside a calm, resilient and proactive approach. This Behaviour Mentor role in Balham requires someone who can support behaviour strategies, assist with interventions and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment.
