Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to promote the learning of pupils in inspirational Alternative Provision Settings in Newcastle on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development. All Subject specialisms will be considered.

About the Role:

• The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils with SEMH and allows all pupils to make progress.
• Working with Secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream School and have SEMH and SEND of varying levels as well as challenging behaviour
• Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
• The role will involve managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
• Differentiating lessons appropriately to engage pupils and to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
• Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
• Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience

About the School:

• The role is based in Alternative Provision settings based in Newcastle
• The School supports pupils across the Secondary School age range who have SEMH and have been temporarily excluded from mainstream School

Pay, Hours and

Contract:

• Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027. For the right candidate, a Permanent job offer may be made.
• Start Date – September 2026
• Location – Newcastle
