About this job

We are seeking a motivated and learner‑focused Plastering Lecturer to join our college team. The role involves teaching across a range of programmes, delivering high‑quality and inclusive lessons, and supporting learner development.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver learning for diverse learners, ensuring inclusive and high‑quality lessons.
  • Design and create engaging learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress.
  • Guide academic and personal development through tutorials and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and engagement.
  • Enhance curriculum and course content, keeping it current and aligned with industry standards.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality‑assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enrich the learner experience.
  • Promote and uphold safeguarding, equality, and health‑and‑safety policies.
Qualifications and requirements
  • A relevant subject qualification (e.g. degree or equivalent professional qualification).
  • A recognised teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieve one within an agreed timeframe.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
  • The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of subject‑specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education.
  • Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence using digital tools to support learning.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality and ongoing professional development.
