Provide clear guidance, instruction and feedback, monitor participation and progress, reinforce learning through activities, maintain high expectations around attendance, behaviour and engagement.
  • Build relationships:
Be a consistent and supportive presence, build positive relationships with learners, support academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams:
Follow existing plans and work closely with curriculum teams to ensure continuity, share feedback, contribute to improvements, support wider college activities such as recruitment events and learner engagement initiatives.
  • Uphold quality and standards:
Maintain accurate records, promote and uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies, contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
  • Relevant sector knowledge, industry experience, or experience supporting learning.

  • Ability to engage and motivate learners from a wide range of backgrounds, building rapport quickly and confidently.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, comfortable stepping into the unexpected.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, approachable, positive, able to read a room and respond in the moment.
  • Confidence in managing learning environments and responding to changing situations; proactive, positive mindset and willingness to take initiative.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.
  • A teaching qualification or experience in education is welcome but not essential.
