GSL Education Newcastle branch are seeking KS2 English Teachers to join primary schools across Newcastle upon Tyne
. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator who can deliver engaging English lessons, strengthen literacy skills, and help pupils become confident readers, writers, and communicators.

The Key Stage 2 English Teacher will have the opportunity to shape pupils' literacy development during a crucial stage of their education while preparing them for a successful transition into Key Stage 3.

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Develop pupils' reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and comprehension skills
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
• Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
• Create an inclusive classroom that promotes creativity, confidence, and a love of literature
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupils' academic development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Previous experience teaching English within Key Stage 2 is desirable
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and effective literacy teaching strategies
• Ability to inspire and motivate pupils through engaging and creative lessons
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
