- Supervise class activities.
- Accompany pupils on educational visits and other extra‑curricular activities, including swimming and independence skills training programmes.
- Work with teachers, speech and language therapists and other specialist staff to assist in delivering agreed programmes.
- Meet the care needs of identified pupils who might need extra support with dressing, toileting or similar.
- Learn classroom‑based skills and behaviour techniques.
- Plan and deliver learning activities.
- Give relevant feedback to the teacher regarding the educational, emotional and physical needs of pupils to offer the teacher support in their assessment.
- Work alongside the teacher and other support staff to support classroom activities.
- Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment for pupils within and outside the classroom and act in accordance with the school and Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide clerical and administrative support, e.g. photocopying, making resources.
This role is due to start in September 2026.
