Lecturer – Inclusive Education
Design and deliver inclusive, high‑quality lessons that support diverse learner needs. Create engaging learning materials and provide clear, constructive feedback to foster learner progress. Guide academic and personal development through tutorials and pastoral care, and maintain accurate records of learner progress and engagement.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for a range of programmes.
- Maintain reliable records of learner progress, attendance and engagement.
- Enhance curriculum and ensure course content remains current and aligned with industry standards.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enrich the learner experience.
- Promote and uphold safeguarding, equality and health and safety policies.
- Monitor student retention and progress, implementing timely interventions to support learners.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, external agencies and curriculum/support teams.
- Drive high standards in teaching and learning, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt work hours to meet demand, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Relevant subject qualification (e.g., degree or equivalent).
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Level2 English and Maths (e.g., GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
- Honours degree level or equivalent industry‑recognised standard.
- Post‑16 teaching qualification (or a commitment to achieve within an agreed timeframe).
- Experience delivering effective education/training in FE, HE and/or Apprenticeships, with a proven track record of teaching and assessment practice.
- Knowledge of subject‑specific pedagogy and current teaching practices.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Digital literacy and confidence using digital tools to support learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to flexible working hours.
