Science Lecturer (BTEC / Applied Science)

You’ll support learners across Applied Science programmes, helping them develop both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills.

• Deliver engaging lessons across BTEC / Applied Science (Level 1–Level
  3)
• Teach a range of topics including biology, chemistry, and physics applications
• Support and supervise practical lab sessions
• Promote safe working practices within laboratory environments
• Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Essential:

• Experience in Science (teaching or industry/lab-based)
• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Applied Science
• Ability to support both theory and practical learning
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and reliable approach

Desirable:

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET)
• Experience delivering BTEC Applied Science or similar
• Experience supporting laboratory practicals
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
