The RoleThe School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences, part of our Faculty of Medical Sciences, is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences on a permanent basis. We would particularly like to hear from individuals with interests in immunology and / or data science.
As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in the School, you will be significantly involved in the development and delivery of a range of high-quality teaching and learning activities to support the Biosciences suite of programmes. There will also be opportunities to contribute to other UG and PG degree programmes within the School. As well as developing and delivering teaching activities, the role includes marking assessments, UG and/or PG project supervision, providing pastoral support and participating in the management and administration of the degree programme(s) as required.
Applicants will need a PhD in an appropriate discipline with prior teaching experience.

- Experience of delivering research-led teaching in core biomedical sciences, making effective use of technology to enhance learning
- Ability to engage with external stakeholders, generating real-world impact
- Ability to design and supervise undergraduate and taught postgraduate students’ research projects
- Strong qualitative research skills (desirable)
- Experience of leading and publishing pedagogical research (desirable)
- Experience of working in, or with, business, the third sector and/or policy (desirable)
- Experience of coordinating and leading modules or courses in higher education (
