We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team in the UK. In this role, you will work alongside classroom teachers to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping children reach their full potential while gaining valuable experience in the UK education sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
  • Assist pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including children with autism and other learning needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who require additional academic or behavioural assistance.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and social development.
  • Help prepare teaching resources, classroom materials, and creative learning activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtime, and extracurricular activities to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents to support each child’s educational journey.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or disabilities is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of autism support strategies and inclusive education practices is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or providing personalised learning support is beneficial.
  • Patient, caring, organised, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a classroom environment.
  • A genuine passion for helping children learn, grow, and succeed.
