The post holder will teach and manage learning / training on a range of courses. in order to progress individuals through a period of learning that enhances their ability to perform their current role and improve their chances of career progression.
The role is expected to deliver apprenticeships, on a range of apprenticeships within fabrication and welding, commercial courses (where appropriate), one off unitised accredited delivery and other solutions as an employer lead training provider. This will include workplace visits, regular employer reviews, updating relevant eportfolio systems as well as liaising with relevant awarding organisations.

Key Responsibilities:Duties undertaken by the postholder include being the lead academic/teacher for a designated course(s) and/or course tutor to designated courses and groups of students.
These duties will extend to (but are not limited to) responsibility for:- Identification and assessment of students' needs and progress including pre-placement and start up visits in-line with agreed procedures
- Plan, design and develop high quality training and sessions that drive student progress. Ensure all learners' visits adhere to their agreed learning plan in line with the qualification/ framework/ standard guidelines and requirements.
- Monitor learners' progression and ensure all forms of delivery, learning and assessment for each element of the apprenticeship/ qualification is completed enabling learners to meet the criteria for either the end assessment or the achievement of the chosen qualification.
- Design and implement innovative assessment strategies to assess learning and students' achievements, including mock end assessment duties (where applicable), to prepare learners for end point assessment as appropriate.
- Maintain a high level of engagement and communication with curriculum teachers to ensure an iterative approach is adopted to the delivery
- Work with employers to ensure that learners are entered for End Assessment at a point that is agreed when the learner is ready.
- Monitor the quality performance of the programme(s), making timely and effective interventions to ensure positive impact for students
- Engage employers in all learner reviews and promote a positive image of the College and assist in the completion of employer training needs analysis to ensure employers are provided with training solutions for all their needs / teams.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with employers to promote and monitor the Prevent Duty, Safeguarding, equality of opportunity and safe working practices as defined by the College policies ensuring all mandatory training is completed.
