EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full-time, temporary) Newcastle Upon Tyne £462.80 - 475 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) September 2026 – July 2027 The School and Role

A welcoming primary school in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team. The successful candidate will support the in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn and develop. The role will include supporting children during activities, promoting early learning and development, and providing both group and individual support where needed.

This is a full-time, long-term role.

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience of working within Early Years.
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Hold a Level 2 qualification or above in supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
