Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

We’re working with a large, inclusive secondary school in west Newcastle that is well regarded for its strong behaviour systems, supportive leadership, and a thoughtful, well-established Humanities faculty
.

The role

As a Religious Education Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE RS experience welcomed)
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons covering religion, ethics, and philosophy
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respectful debate
  • Differentiate effectively to support pupils of mixed abilities, including those with SEND
  • Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities faculty and wider staff team
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
  • Has experience teaching RE / RS in UK secondary schools
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
  • Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
  • Is reliable, adaptable, and professional
  • Is happy to work PAYE
    , with clear and transparent pay

This role is suitable for ECTs, experienced teachers, and those returning to the profession

Pay & contract
  • £163–£265.92 per day
