Role InformationRole Overview
Learning Curve Group is seeking experienced and engaging Freelance Counselling Skills Tutors to join our Flexible Learning provision. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, classroom-based training and support to learners undertaking industry-recognised counselling qualifications.
The successful candidate will deliver the following programme:
Level 3 Diploma in Counselling SkillsThis role is site-based and requires tutors to deliver face-to-face learning sessions, providing learners with the knowledge, skills, support, and guidance required to successfully achieve their qualification.
The ideal candidate will have recent, relevant experience within the counselling sector and a passion for supporting learners to achieve their goals. Tutors will be responsible for the effective delivery and assessment of the programme, learner engagement, progress monitoring, assessment activities, and associated administration in line with awarding body and funding requirements.
Key Responsibilities Teaching, Learning and Assessment- Deliver engaging, high-quality face-to-face teaching sessions across the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills qualification.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes learner engagement, personal development, and achievement.
- Assess learner performance and provide the theoretical knowledge and practical guidance required to ensure learners meet qualification requirements.
- Observe, assess, and support the development of counselling skills in line with awarding organisation standards.
- Provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback to support learner progression and professional practice.
- Monitor learner progress and implement support strategies to maximise achievement and completion rates.
- Identify and address barriers to learning, providing appropriate support and guidance to learners.
- Ensure all teaching, learning, and assessment activities meet awarding organisation standards and internal quality requirements.
- Maintain regular contact with learners and provide ongoing support throughout their learning journey.
- Encourage learner participation, motivation, self-awareness, and commitment to achieving their qualification.
- Support learners in setting personal and professional development goals.
- Provide guidance on progression opportunities within counselling, mental health, and related sectors.
- Support learners in understanding the requirements of further counselling qualifications and professional practice pathways.
- Promote positive learner outcomes and successful progression pathways.
- Complete all learner documentation accurately and within required timescales.
- Ensure assessment decisions are robust, valid, reliable, and fully compliant with awarding body requirements.
- Assess and internally verify learner work where appropriate and in line with qualification requirements.
- Address any actions identified through quality assurance or internal moderation activities within agreed timescales.
- Attend standardisation meetings and participate in quality improvement activities as required.
- Liaise with internal teams to discuss learner progress, achievement, and any identified concerns.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
