Teacher Active is proud to be working with a care setting in Newcastle supporting children and young adults with a variety of SEND, including Autism / ASD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting is focused on providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can develop their independence and wellbeing.

The setting is looking to take on a Social Care Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful Social Care Assistant will support children and young adults with their individual needs, providing consistent care, promoting independence and helping them engage positively in their daily activities.

The successful Social Care Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs
• Experience working with Autism / ASD, SEMH or other SEND
• A good understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults
• A patient and caring approach
• Strong communication skills
• A flexible and resilient attitude
