Our Adult Skills department work with adults who are further away from the employment market and support them in gaining a qualification but also boosting their confidence and other soft skills. Our LCG head office is based in County Durham, but our employability provision operates nationally.
Role InformationRole Overview
Learning Curve Group is seeking experienced and passionate Freelance Health and Social Care Tutors to join our Adult Skills provision. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, classroom-based training and support to learners undertaking industry-recognised health and social care qualifications.
The successful candidate will deliver the following programme:
Level 3 Certificate in Understanding AutismThis role is site-based and requires tutors to deliver engaging face-to-face learning sessions that support learners in developing the knowledge, understanding, and confidence required to achieve their qualification and enhance their practice when supporting autistic individuals.
The successful candidate will have recent occupational experience within Autism Support, Health and Social Care, Education, SEND, Mental Health, or a related field
, alongside a passion for supporting learners to achieve their personal and professional goals.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality face-to-face teaching sessions across the Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism qualification.
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and learner-centred environment that promotes participation and achievement.
- Assess learner performance and provide the underpinning knowledge required to ensure qualification requirements are met.
- Facilitate learners' understanding of autism, including person-centred approaches, communication, sensory processing, behaviour, legislation, and support strategies.
- Provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback to support learner progression and achievement.
- Monitor learner progress and implement appropriate intervention strategies where required.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with differing abilities, learning styles, and support requirements.
- Ensure all teaching, learning, and assessment activities meet awarding organisation standards and internal quality requirements.
- Provide regular support, feedback, and guidance to learners throughout their programme.
- Encourage learner engagement, motivation, and commitment to learning.
- Support learners in developing autism-specific knowledge, professional behaviours, and practical approaches that can be applied within workplace settings.
- Assist learners in setting realistic personal and career development goals.
- Provide progression advice and guidance relating to employment, further learning, and professional development opportunities within health and social care, education, SEND, and support services.
