Teacher Active is proud to be working with a supportive mainstream secondary school in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant. The school has a positive and inclusive ethos, providing a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.

The school is looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis starting in September. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, working alongside teaching staff to deliver targeted classroom support, promote positive behaviour and help students remain engaged in their learning.

• A relevant Level 3 qualification
• Experience working within a UK secondary school
• Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
