Protocol Education is recruiting for a full-time Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist secondary SEND school in Newcastle
.
You’ll be supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex additional needs, helping them engage with education while developing their communication, social skills and independence.
Every pupil is different, so you’ll need to be adaptable and able to build positive relationships based on trust and consistency.
Your responsibilities- Deliver tailored 1:1 and group support
- Help pupils engage with lessons and activities
- Support communication and interaction
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Develop pupils’ confidence and independence
- Support individual learning and development targets
- Assist with practical and life-skills activities
- Follow EHCPs and personalised support plans
- Work alongside teaching and specialist staff
- Celebrate progress, however big or small

Previous SEND experience is beneficial, but we’re also interested in candidates with transferable experience from care, youth work, support work or psychology

You’ll receive weekly PAYE pay, access to our FREE CPD Academy, SEND and Autism training, a dedicated consultant and ongoing support throughout your placement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
