Position:

Visiting Positions are open at five distinct ranks:
Postdoctoral Fellow,Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor, and Chair Professor.

All successful applicants at NATIONAL level (final round) can expect:

• A one-off funding payment up to1 million RMB (140K USD)for full time / up to0.5 million RMB (70K USD)for part time.
• Weeklysalaries starting from15K RMB ~ 50K RMB (2.5K ~ 70K USD).
• The opportunity to apply for research funding of1 to 5 million RMB (140K~ 700K USD)for various Research Projects.
• Awarded with the title of National Distinguished Expert.
• Awardees will be strongly supported and prioritised when applying to local and national government-funded programmes, in particular NSFC, National Key R&D Programmes, Mega projects, as well as other awards. (refer to “funding details” section for details)
• Support for living conditions: support for permanent residence permit and/or multiple entry visas for applicants and their families;
  Medical care, social insurance; children education allowance; housing and meal allowances, subsidies, and priority in purchasing one residential apartment, etc.
• Chinese Language skill is not required for this application.
• Applications are welcomed regardless of the applicants’ nationality and current location.
• All applicants are welcomed ranging from Junior, Senior and Retired with no age limitation.
• Applications are accepted all year round and evaluated in Nov each year.

• A PhD in a related discipline. The research disciplines include, but are not limited to, chemistry, all major branches of engineering, life sciences, mathematics, physics, and inter-disciplinary fields. The engineering disciplines include, but are not limited to, electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, energy and environment, nanotechnology and material science, and emerging technology. We emphasizes inter-disciplinary research.
• In-depth knowledge and proven skills of academic and applied research.
• Demonstrated ability to teach.
• Candidates must have published in international journals and participated in the acquisition of external funding.

Main Duty and Responsibilities:

• Conducting guided and independent research
• Publish in leading international journals
• Writing research proposals
• Meeting with project sponsors
• Support outreach activities
• Teaching short courses
• Any other (incl. administrative) duties that may reasonably be assigned by the supervising faculty member.
