Bim Manager

Overview

Our client is a leading international MEP engineering consultancy delivering innovative, sustainable and technically excellent engineering solutions across a range of sectors within MEP Building Services, particularly within the data centre and critical infrastructure sectors.

They are looking for an experienced BIM Manager to support their Newcastle office and lead BIM projects, ensuring high‑quality model management across various sectors. The role involves collaborating with international teams, developing Revit and AutoCAD standards, and coordinating with design teams to meet project timelines.

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians.
• Manage resource planning, workload allocation and team development.
• Drive consistency in BIM standards, quality assurance and project delivery.
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans, templates, libraries and workflows.
• Support project teams in the delivery of coordinated MEP models.
• Oversee model quality, clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Work closely with project leaders to identify opportunities for improved digital delivery.
• Champion innovation, automation and continuous improvement within BIM processes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of BIM personnel.
• Collaborate with IT and Digital Engineering teams regarding software implementation and emerging technologies.
• Act as the primary BIM subject‑matter expert.

Previous data centre experience is not required. The successful candidate will have strong MEP Building Services experience and the leadership capability to manage, mentor and develop a BIM team within a fast‑paced engineering consultancy.
