Senior Civil Design Engineer - Energy

Overview

Stantec is recruiting for a Senior Civil Design Engineer - Transmission & Distribution role in the United Kingdom. The opportunity focuses on contributing to energy sector projects with a civil design engineering focus.

• Join a growing, collaborative team and work with a variety of clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges.
• Support FEED design and detailed design for the civil aspects of Energy projects.
• Provide technical solutions, develop detailed designs, and support Project Managers and Team Leaders on day-to-day activities.
• Work on projects across energy sectors (e.g., Energy from Waste, Solar, Interconnectors, Windfarms, Substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, connections schemes, etc.).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects and contribute to the UK energy transition.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
• On route to professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council; ICE membership is preferred.
• Pro-active with knowledge and understanding of the Energy Sector; engaged in the engineering community and aware of innovative solutions and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of National Grid’s Transmission procedures is desirable; any energy sector experience is highly regarded.
