Role Overview

The purpose of the Technical Services Engineer is to ensure that our equipment meets performance regulatory requirements during on-site PA testing at customer facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Field Engineering and Scheduling to guarantee the successful completion of compliance tests and the satisfaction of our customers.

In addition to PA testing, you will be expected to carry out minor repairs and basic maintenance on industrial cleaning machines where required, helping to resolve straightforward faults on site and ensuring equipment is returned to safe, compliant working order. The role offers the opportunity to further develop repair skills overtime through training and hands-on experience.

  • Following customer site rules for booking in/booking out and adhering to onsite rules / regulations including Health and Safety.
  • Tagging machines when they have passed or failed tests and isolating machines which have failed.
  • Updating jobs in an accurate and timely manner on our in‑house, central database Service Smart Pro (SSP).
  • Liaising with customers on sites to communicate work completed / work required.
  • Carry out minor repairs on industrial cleaning machines such as replacing small components, adjusting fittings, fixing loose wiring and resolving basic mechanical or electrical faults.
  • Communicating on a daily basis with the Technical Services Team to report findings on sites and to review diary allocations / routes.
  • Efficiently planning to complete all calls scheduled in your diary.
  • Upkeeping company vehicle in line with company policy and ensure regular vehicle checks are undertaken and recorded.
  • Opportunity to develop repair skills over time through on‑the‑job training, manufacturer courses and mentoring, with opportunities to progress in the business.
  • Attending engineering service review conferences as and when required.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in compliance engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role, preferably in the industrial equipment or machinery industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to industrial cleaning equipment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Detail‑oriented, organised, and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for testing and troubleshooting purposes (travel percentage may vary).
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
