Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.
Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
We are looking for a Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with contractual requirements.
* Maintain plant and equipment in accordance with O&M manuals, industry best practices, and relevant legislation.
* Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), policies, and procedures.
* Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed time frames, completing all necessary documentation.
* Work safely and professionally at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
* Operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in plant rooms and service enclosures.
* Perform ad-hoc duties as required during your shift.
* Understand and contribute to the business continuity plan relevant to your area of work.
To be successful for this Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer role you must have:
* Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
* City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
* Proven experience in mechanical and/or multi-disciplinary maintenance, including DHW, LTHW, and ventilation systems.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
* Competent IT skills, including use of a PDA.
* Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition or City & Guilds 2391. (Desirable)
