CHP Engineer | Power Generation | Gloucestershire

• Salary : £40000 - £45000 per annum + Van + Overtime

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a Combined Heat and Power provider, renowned for its dedication to professional growth and sustainability to recruit a CHP Engineer for in the Gloucestershire area.

The CHP Engineer role comes with a salary of Circa £45,000 + vehicle + development opportunities.

Reporting to the Senior Service Coordinator you will:

• Perform field-based maintenance including reactive and scheduled service maintenance on Combined Heat and Power assets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service through clear communication, timely issue resolution, and a customer-focused approach.
• Identify, repair, and replace defective components as necessary to ensure continued system operation.
• Respond to call outs on a 1 in 4 weekend basis.
• Other duties as required

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Previous experience performing electrical or mechanical maintenance on combustion engines ideally in power generation, or industrial processing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Relevant engineering qualifications, such as an NVQ, HNC, HND, or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

• Able to assess technical issues logically and efficiently, applying critical thinking to resolve faults under pressure.
• Comfortable working alone in varied site environments, managing time effectively and taking ownership of tasks.
• Works collaboratively when required, supporting wider engineering teams and contributing to shared goals.

• An excellent salary of up to £45,000
• Vehicle provided
• 25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday
• Overtime paid at 1.5 x between Monday to Saturday and 2 x on Sunday
