Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor, located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost planning and control, preparing budgets and estimates, reviewing contracts, and managing project finances. They will oversee procurement, attend site meetings, liaise with clients, and maintain awareness of variations in the project scope. Compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards is a vital aspect of this role, emphasizing attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in cost planning, project estimation, and budgeting
  • Experience in contracts management and tendering
  • Strong understanding of procurement strategies and supplier coordination
  • Skills in client management and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in financial reporting and cost analysis
  • Familiarity with construction software tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in construction projects
  • Professional accreditation or membership with organizations such as RICS is a plus
  • Previous experience in High Voltage or renewable energy projects is beneficial
