About our Environmental Team:
Haskoning is a UK‑leading marine environmental consultancy with over 30 years of experience supporting our coastal and marine clients. Our team specialises in consenting, permitting and licensing for complex coastal and marine infrastructure developments and operations, both within the UK and internationally. We possess extensive expertise in marine consenting, including working with Natural England to develop and implement marine Biodiversity Net Gain.
- Deliver and coordinate EIAs and HRAs for a wide range of marine development projects, such as ports, harbours, dredging and coastal protection schemes.
- Work closely with engineers and marine specialists to ensure environmental considerations are fully integrated into project design and delivery.
- Engage with regulators, stakeholders and clients, providing clear advice on marine consenting processes and environmental compliance.
- Problem‑solve complex marine environmental challenges, applying innovative and sustainable solutions to meet project objectives.
- Represent Haskoning at client offices, regulator meetings and stakeholder consultations, acting as a trusted advisor in marine development.
- Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering EIAs and the marine consenting process, ideally for ports, harbours or coastal management projects.
- Good understanding of how marine development can progress successfully through the complex coastal and marine regulatory regime in relation to relevant international and domestic legislation and policy.
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Robust project management and financial management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time‑management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, proactive and self‑motivated.
- Flexible, adaptive and innovative.
A competitive salary of £40,000 to £52,000 depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. We provide flexible working models to ensure a balance between family and work life, including part‑time options.
Location:Exeter, Edinburgh, London, Brighton, Newcastle, Peterborough, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds.
