From highways and rail to water, utilities, airports and industrial sites, your work will directly influence design decisions, construction safety, and long‑term asset performance.
You’ll help shape the future of our growing Survey & Reality Capture capability, mentoring junior land surveyors, sharing best practice, and contributing to smarter, more digital survey outputs and products.
Responsibilities- Deliver accurate, trusted survey data for complex infrastructure projects.
- Plan and manage surveys on site, ensuring quality and adherence to QA standards.
- Use advanced survey technology (GNSS, total stations, digital levels, terrestrial laser scanners) and processing software (AutoCAD, LSS, SCC, Leica Cyclone, Trimble Real Works, ReCap).
- Work closely with project teams, communicating clearly and maintaining high quality.
- Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to continual improvement of survey practices.
- A degree, equivalent qualification, or significant experience in Land Surveying, Geomatics or Reality Capture.
- Proven experience delivering topographical and laser scanning surveys; additional exposure to measured building, deformation or channel surveys desirable.
- Confidence using industry standard equipment (Leica or Trimble GNSS, total stations, digital levels, terrestrial laser scanners).
- Experience with processing software such as AutoCAD, LSS, SCC, Leica Cyclone, Trimble Real Works, ReCap or similar.
- A strong understanding of point cloud registration and 3D data workflows.
- Ability to manage survey work on site, communicate clearly, and maintain high QA standards.
- A positive, professional approach with an interest in mentoring junior surveyors.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility for site travel.
- Membership of a professional body, or a clear intention to work towards Chartership would be an advantage.
