Senior Engineer - Rail (Renewals)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to support rail renewal works in the Newcastle area. This role requires a strong background in track engineering, with responsibility for overseeing works, ensuring delivery to design, and supporting junior engineers on site.

As a Senior Engineer you will oversee S&C and plain line renewals, ensure works are delivered to design, manage site documentation, and support and develop junior engineers on site while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

• Proven experience in rail renewals (S&C and plain line)
• Strong knowledge of tamping, stressing & track geometry
• Experience with 3D dozer systems
• Competent with total station setting out
• Ability to lead site engineering teams
• Strong understanding of H&S and documentation processes
