We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in Newcastle
. As a Mechanical Engineer
, you'll support the delivery of mechanical engineering design across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and professional experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing mechanical engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations and associated infrastructure.
• Preparing technical calculations, equipment schedules, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Supporting feasibility studies, optioneering and detailed design activities.
• Working collaboratively with Project Managers, multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Assisting with technical reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Continuing your professional development with the support of experienced engineers and mentors.

As part of our collaborative Mechanical Engineering team, you'll continue developing your technical expertise while contributing to innovative engineering solutions that help shape the future of the water industry.

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering or supporting mechanical engineering design projects.
• An understanding of mechanical systems associated with water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, or experience from a similar process industry.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

• Experience with in the UK water sector.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Experience producing engineering calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience working with contractors or supporting project delivery.
