The Opportunity

Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Hydrologist in our Newcastle office, where you will be part of our Water Environment discipline and help deliver high-quality hydrology, flood risk, modelling and environmental assessment work for clients across the water sector and beyond.

About

The Role

By joining our Hydrology team, you will help conceptualise, analyse and report on hydrological systems and processes, with a focus on flood modelling, hydrological estimation and catchment science. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the flood risk impact of national infrastructure and water-sector projects.
  • Supporting the design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems and stormwater management solutions.
  • Contributing to the hydraulic and hydrological aspects of nature-based solutions.
  • Investigating the impact of the built environment on hydrology in 1D and 2D space.
  • Using flood modelling and hydrological estimation software packages to support project delivery.
  • Developing your technical and project delivery skills across water resources, river and coastal modelling, flood risk assessments, drought analysis, climate change assessments and catchment management.

About you
