Interim Senior FP&A Analyst / Finance Business Partner

About the Role Your new interim role will see you play a key member of my client's finance team, supporting the Senior Finance leadership team, to delivering robust financial planning and analysis across the business. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will shape budgets, forecasts, and performance insights that influence board-level decisions
Key Responsibilities Partner on all aspects of FP&A, including month-end analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects. Prepare and deliver consolidated budgets and quarterly forecasts for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to develop bottom-up financial plans, challenging assumptions to ensure accuracy. Provide intelligent insights into business performance vs. plan and contribute to action plans to close gaps.
Prepare analysis, presentations, and commentary for board meetings and shareholder reporting. Ensure integrity of financial reporting by reconciling BI databases with general ledger accounts. Deliver rigorous insights into balance sheet and cash flow variances, developing corrective actions. Maintain accurate margin analysis by customer and product, identifying opportunities for price adjustments. Publish monthly reporting to empower business managers to own revenue and margin performance.
Calculate sales commissions and bonuses in line with agreed schemes. Role Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Significant experience at senior FP&A level Strong background in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling Skilled in interrogating and summarising large data sets Advanced Excel proficiency Expertise in finance systems and databases Strong numeracy and data interpretation skills Excellent communication skills to engage finance and non-finance colleagues Highly organised with a focus on deadlines Process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement You will be part of a forward-thinking team driving strategic growth and influencing decisions at the highest level Should be available to interview in the 1st week of January and to start 2nd week January 2026.
