Are you a commercially focused Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager looking for broader ownership, strategic exposure and an opportunity of progression?

We are recruiting for a privately owned manufacturing and distribution business (part of a £2bn international group) seeking a Business Controller / Commercial Financial Controller to lead the finance function across two UK operating entities.

This is a true No.1 finance role in the UK, offering full P&L reporting responsibility and a seat on the Senior Leadership Team.

You will:

• Take full ownership of P&L reporting across two operating businesses
• Lead and develop a team of four finance professionals
• Partner directly with the Managing Director and senior leadership team
• Provide commercial insight into pricing, margin and market performance
• Drive operational efficiency across structure, property and procurement
• Improve reporting, controls and financial visibility
• Support strategic planning and investment decisions

This role blends hands‑on financial control with genuine commercial and strategic involvement.

We are looking for:

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified accountant
• Currently operating as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or Commercial Finance Manager
• Experience with in manufacturing, distribution, construction products, industrial or high-volume transactional environments
• Strong P&L understanding with exposure to margin analysis and pricing
• Experience managing and developing finance teams
  
  Comfortable operating at senior leadership level
