A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Director to join a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a senior leadership role within a well-established practice known for its exceptional client base and commitment to professional development. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of a diverse and complex portfolio of corporate tax clients, leading on advisory and compliance work at the highest level. You will play a key part in shaping the strategic direction of the tax department, mentoring and developing junior members of the team, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. This is an ideal position for a forward-thinking professional with strong technical expertise and a genuine passion for client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a varied portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services
  • Drive business development activity, identifying opportunities to grow the firm's tax offering and client base
  • Mentor, support, and develop junior and mid-level tax professionals within the team
  • Act as a key point of contact for complex technical queries, providing clear and commercially focused advice to clients
Requirements
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with substantial corporate tax experience at a senior level
  • Proven ability to manage a complex client portfolio and build lasting client relationships
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of developing and motivating teams
  • Ambitious and commercially minded, with the drive to contribute to the strategic growth of the practice
