Interim Finance Manager

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Group Financial Accounting Manager

You will oversee financial accounting, compliance, and reporting across multiple European entities. Leading a small accounting team, you'll ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, statutory compliance, and successful audit delivery while driving process improvements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

* Ensure accurate financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal reviews.

* Manage statutory compliance, including VAT, tax filings, and statutory accounts.

* Coordinate and lead external audits across multiple European entities.

* Oversee cash flow and treasury activities.

* Develop and support a small finance team.

* Drive process improvements, automation, and control enhancements.

* Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors across Europe.

About You

* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

* Strong background in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance.

* Experience managing audits and statutory reporting requirements.

* Knowledge of VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory compliance.

* Previous people management or team leadership experience.

* Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience (SAP desirable)
