Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

The Opportunity

Join our global Costing team to support accurate project and cost accounting across all five Arup regions. As a Project & Cost Accounting Analyst, you will help ensure staff time, project data, and cost information are processed accurately and on time, enabling consistent and correct client billing.

In the following areas of work:

  • Manage a regional Costing mailbox, handling queries and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain operational oversight of the Arup timesheet system and related data interfaces.
  • Ensure accurate staff, project, entity, and regional data across finance systems.
  • Validate timesheet change requests and process journal transfers.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations related to staff data and staff costs.
  • Collaborate within a team of 12, supporting supervisors with daily project costing tasks.
  • Develop technical expertise in finance software and contribute to ongoing system improvements.
Is this role right for you?
  • Experience in Project & Cost Accounting or Finance Shared Services.
  • Strong transactional processing skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or JDE.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • A collaborative team player committed to continuous improvement and automation.
