We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting Faculties and Professional Services across the University. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives on collaboration, strategic influence, and delivering meaningful impact.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide expert financial leadership to senior stakeholders, supporting the delivery of Northumbria's Strategy. You will be a trusted adviser - building strong relationships, offering high-quality analysis, and guiding decision‑making across a wide range of operational and strategic activities.
You will be part of the Finance Business Partnering team, and will play a key role in delivering a modern, customer‑focused partnering service, contributing to financial planning, budgeting, performance analysis, business cases, scenario modelling, and long‑term strategic initiatives.
ABOUT YOUAs an experienced finance professional with a strong track record of delivering expert financial advice, leading planning and reporting activity, and presenting confidently to senior and non‑finance stakeholders - you will bring proven leadership. You will demonstrate excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills as well as having experience of people management. A commercially minded approach, strong analytical capability, innovative problem‑solving skills and the resilience to work under pressure are essential.
Candidates should hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience, with a CCAB qualification and evidence of ongoing CPD desirable.
