The role is a strong balance of operational leadership, analytical capability, and stakeholder management, with the ability to work effectively across different countries, cultures, and commercial environments. Partnering closely with finance, sales, operations, and customer service teams to drive process improvement while maintaining a commercially pragmatic approach to customer relationships and risk management.

Main Responsibilities

Credit & Collections Management

Take ownership of the end-to-end credit, collections, and order-to-cash processes across the Company’s operations in the UK and SE Asia.

Manage and optimize the regional debtor ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances across multiple jurisdictions and customer portfolios.

Monitor aged debt across 30, 60, and 90+ day categories, driving effective recovery strategies and reducing overdue exposure.

Oversee customer credit assessments, credit limit reviews, and ongoing exposure monitoring.

Review high-risk and legacy debt positions, recommending appropriate recovery, escalation, provisioning, or write-off actions.

Support customer onboarding and ongoing account management through robust third-party due diligence and integrity reviews, ensuring appropriate risk controls are maintained while supporting commercial growth.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Improvement

Improve cash collection performance and support broader working capital objectives across UK and SE Asia operations.

Enhance cash forecasting accuracy, providing clear visibility of expected collections and cash risks.

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting debtor performance and recommend corrective actions.

Support the business in improving debtor days (DSO) and overall cash conversion performance.

Process Improvement & Controls

Develop and implement robust credit policies, collections procedures, and report frameworks that support regional consistency while recognizing local market requirements.

Identify inefficiencies and leakage points across the order-to-cash cycle and implement practical improvements.

Drive stronger utilization of systems, reporting tools, and data analytics within the credit function.

Be responsible for third-party due diligence, compliance controls, and risk assessment processes.

Be responsible for identifying financial, operational, reputational, and compliance-related risks while making balanced commercial recommendations.

Support governance standards and maintaining appropriate controls across customer onboarding and credit management activities.

Stakeholder Management

Partner closely with finance, sales, customer service, and operational teams across the UK and SE Asia to resolve disputes and remove barriers to collection.

Provide regular reporting and insight to senior finance leadership on cash performance, credit risk, and collection activity.

Balance effective credit risk management with a commercially pragmatic approach that supports customer relationships and business growth.

Lead, support, and develop the credit and collections team.

Establish clear performance expectations, accountability, and service standards.

Drive continuous improvement and promote a high-performance culture within the function.

Proven experience in a Credit Manager or senior credit control leadership role.

Strong background in credit risk management, collections, and order-to-cash processes.

Experience improving cash flow, reducing aged debt, and driving working capital improvements.

Experience operating within a fast-paced commercial environment.

Demonstrated success managing teams and delivering operational improvements.

Previous experience in the drinks industry or a luxury retail environment would be an advantage.

All applying for this role must be eligible to live and work in the UK; documented evidence of eligibility will be required if you're progressed to final interview stage.
