We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Planner to manage a diverse and stimulating caseload of planning applications, appeals, and development proposals. You will provide expert advice on planning policy, deliver high-quality reports, and support strategic growth and regeneration initiatives across the area.

• Manage and assess complex planning applications and appeals.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for planning committees.
• Provide professional planning advice to applicants, developers, and stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and review of local and strategic planning policies.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
• Represent the authority at public inquiries, hearings, and community meetings.

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Chartered Member of the RTPI (or working towards accreditation).
• Proven experience in development management or policy planning.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
