Responsibilities- Deliver a high‑quality casework function that supports children, young people and their families throughout the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process.
- Work with a wide range of professionals (SENCOs, educational settings, health colleagues and external agencies) to ensure statutory plans are prepared, monitored and reviewed in line with legal time frames and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Manage a demanding and fast‑paced workload with excellent organisational and communication skills, meeting strict statutory deadlines and providing clear, empathetic, professional contact for families.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by raising the quality of EHCP documentation, supporting effective partnership working, and strengthening processes and outcomes.
- Demonstrate resilience, remain focused under pressure, and uphold inclusive practice.
- Play a key role in shaping the educational journeys of children and young people with SEND, supporting them and their families through a process with significant impact.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment with a focus on statutory deadlines.
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to navigate complex situations with clarity and empathy.
