Position: LGBTQIA+ (Chemsex) Recovery Coordinator
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

About the role:

  • Maintain a client caseload with care co-ordination responsibility
  • Develop and sustain positive working relationships with agencies that support LGBTQIA+ service users in the wider community
  • Carry out interventions that support the health, social and psychological needs of this client group
  • Carry out in-reach at partnership services and or co-locate with other services
    across Brighton and Hove
  • Work with colleagues and partners developing specific interventions that can support LGBTQIA+ service users
  • Work alongside health promotion/national colleagues to develop relevant
    information and promotional material to act as lead in the service for LGBTQIA+ issues, supporting colleagues and ensuring the service is responding to the needs of this service user group
About you:
  • Experience of working with substance misuse issues and a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
  • A clear understanding of issues relating to LGBTQIA+ service users and their engagement with services
  • Experience of engaging with and providing interventions (in a substance misuse context) to LGBTQIA+ people
