Exciting part‑time role available working primarily at our main hospital site, with nights alongside our PETS service. We are proud to have our own out of hours service, providing continuity of care and supporting clinics across the area with their out of hours needs.
Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic offers a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services: medicine, surgery, radiography, CT, ultrasound and dentistry, backed by excellent hospital facilities. Patients can also benefit from the on‑site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required.
Job OverviewBased primarily at the main hospital site, you will provide night and twilight shifts as part of our out‑of‑hours PETS team.
Responsibilities- Work 33 hours per week on a 10‑week rolling rota.
- Shift lengths vary between 8.5 and 11.5 hours, including twilight and night shifts.
- Work two weekends out of every five plus bank holidays.
- Support clinics across the area with out‑of‑hours needs.
- Participate in routine and, where appropriate, more complex surgeries.
- Assist with patient care, communication with clients and other team members.
- Registered with the RCVS.
- Minimum 3 years qualified experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Competence in all routine surgeries, with support available for advanced procedures.
- 6.6 weeks annual leave.
