Health, Safety & Assurance Coordinator

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, this is a key role where you will support the team to ensure the Safety Management Systems and processes meet or exceed both Company and Legislative requirements.

• Develop and implement an annual and three-year internal assurance program that meets Ulan Underground, GCAA and legislative requirements
• Oversee the maintenance of the Mine Record
• Understand your role in monitoring the Catastrophic and Fatal hazards compliance and support hazard and control owners.
• Plan, co-ordinate and participate in internal and external assurance and compliance audits in-line with the annual audit schedule.
• Develop and retain strong knowledge of the functionality and application of the Safety and Compliance systems.
• Ongoing development and implementation of a robust assurance and compliance strategy across the operation

• Curiosity to plan, coordinate, and complete assurance activities
• High attention to detail to be able to schedule, coordinator and participate in verification activities
• Ability to coordinate self and others
• Work in a manner which supports confidentiality
• Obtain or willing to obtain Auditor qualifications, certificate IV Health and Safety or similar, Formal Incident Investigations
