Overview
We are recruiting for an Agile Research Delivery Team Research Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. This role supports the delivery of world class health research to improve people’s lives. It is based at the Lister Hospital and may involve work in non-hospital settings across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
The focus is to provide support to the delivery and/or setup of National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Delivery Network (RDN) Portfolio studies across varied health and care settings. The role may involve office-based work at times and requires flexible, autonomous working across disciplines within the RRDN region.

- Provide support to the delivery and/or setup of NIHR RDN Portfolio studies across varied health and care settings.
- Engage in research delivery (identification, recruitment, delivery and follow up for participants) in accordance with study protocols.
- Provide research support by engaging stakeholders, identifying sites, setting up studies and managing governance.
- Foster collaborative working relationships across stakeholders to maximise engagement opportunities.
- Potentially contribute to line management for a team of research delivery staff working autonomously in different specialties and settings.
- Travel across the locality and wider Eastern region as required.

Essential
- Qualifications/Training:
Educated to degree level in science or health-related discipline or in another field with experience delivering clinical research trials or equivalent experience/training. - CRPs should be on, or working towards accredited registration with the AHCS
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Experience:
Experience of caring for patients/participants enrolled in research studies or a customer-focused role
- Skills:
Good IT skills (Web applications, MS Office and/or Google Hub), good planning and organisational skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work autonomously, ability to plan and coordinate multidisciplinary activities, understanding of personal accountability, ability to travel between sites
- Knowledge:
Knowledge of governance and legislative framework for clinical research (ICH GCP); knowledge of the clinical trial and health and care research lifecycle; experience in setup and delivery of research studies in health and care settings; knowledge of data systems, data entry, interpretation, verification and reporting
