Band 9, £42,861 – £49,716 per annum (£21,430.50 – £24,858 pro rata)

This role is agile, you may be required to travel across the force area to provide face to face assessment and therapy sessions

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our People Department as a Trauma Therapist.

You will be required to work closely with the Trauma Lead to maintain our high standard of wellbeing and trauma support to the workforce. To provide assessment and therapy to members of the workforce following exposure to potentially traumatic incidents as appropriate and as directed by the Trauma Lead.

What you’ll do:
  • Assessment and Therapy: provide evidence-based trauma therapies in person such as EMDR to referred individuals, ensuring ethical practice and workplace safety.
  • Evidence-Based Practice:
    Use theory and research to support practice, stay updated on relevant legislation and policies.
  • Case Management:
    Maintain accurate, confidential case notes in line with procedures and guidelines.
  • Professional Development:
    Participate in CPD training and development to uphold high professional standards.
  • Collaboration:

    Work with Trauma Lead and Wellbeing Manager to explore opportunities to develop the trauma support model.
  • Wellbeing Support:
    Offer advice and signposting on wellbeing issues, encouraging proactive health management.
