This post is for as soon as possible for 11 months.
The post would suit a trainee with a special interest in clinical practice, innovation and research. The trainee will have passed foundation training. This post will provide a solid basis from which to apply for future Core training post.

Main duties of the jobThis post is attached to colorectal surgical speciality based within the Colorectal Unit (Ward 46) / Newcastle Centre for Bowel Disease Research Hub. The individual will work primarily on innovation and research projects within the commercial and NIHR research portfolios but may on occasion, based on trainee appetite, supplement the F2/CST tier and as such be expected to perform duties and take clinical responsibility to this level.
